Tourism competitiveness index was assessed from three things namely regulatory frameworks, infrastructure and business, as well as human resources, culture and nature. Three indices were then divided into 14 subindeks assessed.
While Indonesia is regarded superior in terms of price kompetitivitas in the tourism industry. But unfortunately only ranked at 130 for about a sustainable environment.
Overall, Indonesia is considered both in terms of lack of regulatory frameworks ranging from regulation and policy, environmental, security and safety, and hygiene and health. But for a matter of priority tourism, Indonesia managed to win 10 major positions.
While for human resources, natural resources, support tourism, and cultural resources, Indonesia's position under 50 from 133 countries.
Unfortunately yes!. Though not spelled out the potential of tourism in Indonesia is reasonable to 'sell'. Call it cultural and natural resources including flora and fauna Indonesia - which is owned by the diversity of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke spelled out - it's hard to find his equal in this world.
The first focus is to develop national tourism destinations based on preferences and behavior analysis and market psikografik.
The second focus is to develop tourism destinations based on potential, characteristics, and resource advantages.
The last focus is to develop the destination by involving active participation of the communities, and provide benefits and sustainability of natural resources in the local tourism activities.
May be added here, strategies to improve the competitiveness of tourism is not to sacrifice the noble values of cultural wisdom. Hopefully ....
