What exactly that form a computer network? The answer is clear, the computer. But how these computers are connected to each other? There are two kinds of equipment required for that hardware (peripherals) and software (the software). Software such as operating systems that support the network and various network applications, while the hardware in question include:
* Media Transmission (cable / wireless)
* Network interface card (NIC),
* Connectors
* Concentrator / hub
* Bridge & Switch
* Router
As an initial illustration, can be seen Fig Computer Network Map that complements this paper to find out the position / status of each component. Standard components of a simple network is a network interface card (NIC), hubs and cables. With all three of these components, we have been able to make a simple computer network.
