Protocol and Architecture

When we discuss the problem of communication between computers and computer networks, there are two important concepts that is absolutely known, namely: communication protocols and architectures.

Protocol is a set of rules that regulate the functional units so that communication can be executed. For example to send messages, data, and information. Protocol also serves to allow two or more computers can communicate with the same language.

In general, the functions of the protocol is to connect the sender and receiver to communicate and exchange information in order to work properly and correctly with high reliability.

Network architecture is a set of layers (layer) and protocol. Where layer aims to provide service to an existing layer thereon.
